Sonic ProXY Fetal Sex Test

This assay uses rapid, real time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technology to detect Y-chromosome (male) fetal DNA circulating in the mother’s blood.
Patient's gestational age should be between 8 weeks to term; gestational age is requested at the time of service.

Submit a minimum of 2.0 mL EDTA whole blood.

Store specimens at room temperature (15 to 30°C) until transported. DO NOT freeze. Refrigerate if not transported immediately. Add a cold (refrigerator) pack during the summer months.
Specimens are stable if refrigerated for 7 days.

1-2 business days, upon receipt at laboratory
