Test Name
Multiple Myeloma FISH Panel
Alternate Names
  • 1p36.32/1q21.3, 5p31/5q31.1, 9/15, 13q14.3, 17p13.1
  • IgH, if IgH positive, reflex to FGFR3/IgH, CCND3/IgH, CCND1/IgH, IgH/MAF, IgH/MAFB
Description
Fluorescence in-situ hybridization (FISH) using at least 6 DNA probe sets to detect rearrangements, deletions, and copy number changes associated with multiple myeloma or MGUS. The panel detects copy number changes of chromosomes 1q, 5, 9, and 15; deletions of TP53 and 13q14.3; and rearrangement of IgH. If IgH is positive, reflex to FGFR3/IgH, CCND1/IgH, IgH/MAF, IgH/MAFB, and CCND3/IgH.
