Storage Requirements
Store specimens at room temperature (15 to 30°C) or refrigerated until transported. DO NOT freeze.

GBS: 1-2 days, Sensitivity: 3-4 days
Methodology
Real Time PCR followed by Kirby-Bauer susceptibility testing
Limitations
  • Test results may be affected by improper/inadequate specimen collection or expired transport media.
  • Testing must be performed within 72 hours of collection if susceptibility testing is requested.
